Prognose für 2003 und 2004: Konjunkturaufschwung nicht in Sicht

Abstract

Die Wirtschaft wird im Jahr 2003 um nur 0,7% wachsen. Unter den gegenwärtigen Rahmenbedingungen eines akzentuierten Mangels an gesamtwirtschaftlicher Nachfrage im Euro-Raum und einer markanten Abwertung des Dollars gegenüber dem Euro ist ein Konjunkturaufschwung auch im Jahr 2004 wenig wahrscheinlich. Das BIP-Wachstum könnte dann in Österreich bei 1,2% liegen. Damit würde die Wirtschaftskrise in ihr viertes Jahr treten. Ein Anstieg von Arbeitslosigkeit und Budgetdefizit ist die Folge.
