Prognose für 2002 und 2003: Konjunkturerholung verzögert

Abstract

Die österreichische Wirtschaft wird heuer um nur knapp 1% und nächstes Jahr voraussichtlich um mehr als 2% wachsen. Die Risken für die Konjunkturerholung, auf die das WIFO in seiner Juni-Prognose hingewiesen hat, sind schlagend geworden. Die Talfahrt der Börsenkurse hat das Vertrauen der Konsumenten und Unternehmen weltweit erschüttert. Angesichts der Unsicherheiten und der getrübten Stimmung sind die Wachstumsaussichten weniger günstig einzuschätzen. Das gedämpfte Wachstum schlägt sich in stark steigender Arbeitslosigkeit und ungeplant hohen Budgetdefiziten nieder.
