Prognose für 2002 und 2003: Aufschwung mit Risiken

Abstract

Die österreichische Wirtschaft wird heuer um gut 1% und nächstes Jahr voraussichtlich um 2½% bis 3% wachsen. Die WIFO-Prognose ist damit seit Dezember unverändert. Die leichte Erholung im I. Quartal und die vorauseilenden Indikatoren für das II. Quartal stützen diese Einschätzung. Von der internationalen Konjunktur gehen jedoch größere Risiken für die Prognose aus als Mitte April: Der Aufschwung kommt in der EU bisher nur zögerlich voran, und in den USA bilden das labile Konsumentenvertrauen und die Talfahrt der Börsenkurse Unsicherheitsfaktoren.
