Abstract

Der Konjunkturverlauf wurde in Österreich im II. Quartal 2020 von der COVID-19-Pandemie und deren sozialen und ökonomischen Folgen geprägt. Insgesamt sank die Beschäftigung deutlich, die Arbeitslosigkeit stieg erheblich. Alle Bundesländer waren von der Krise stark betroffen, nach Wirtschaftssektoren ergab sich jedoch ein durchaus heterogenes Bild. So war der Rückgang der Nächtigungszahlen in den westlichen Bundesländern und in Wien besonders ausgeprägt, während die Sachgütererzeugung in Wien kaum Einbußen verzeichnete.
