Abstract

This edition focuses on the analysis of each country's experiences, lessons, and insights on policy reforms and institutional innovations in the agriculture sector. The Singapore Primer presents the country's challenges in meeting the demand for affordable and diverse food given its limited area for food production and unique value chain. It also covers issues of food waste, food safety and education, climate change and regional economic integration, and concludes by reviewing some key challenges and opportunities for Singapore's food future.
