Weiterentwicklung der Kriminal- und Strafrechtspflegestatistik in Deutschland

Abstract

Für politische Entscheidungen sind Informationen über die Entwicklung von Kriminalität und die Effektivität ihrer Bekämpfung zentral. Die Statistiken der deutschen Polizeien und der (Straf-)Justiz sind hier einschlägig, weisen aber erhebliche Lücken auf. Datenverknüpfungen zwischen den Statistiken sind nicht möglich. Aufgrund des unvollständigen Zuganges zu den Statistiken kann die wissenschaftliche Forschung ihre Potenziale auch zur Beratung nicht ausschöpfen. Die Veröffentlichung des RatSWD analysiert das (unvollständige) Ineinandergreifen der bestehenden Statistiken und entwickelt Lösungsansätze. Die Analyse richtet sich an Politik, Behörden und die statistikproduzierenden Stellen.
