Abstract

Este libro reúne ensayos y artículos sobre política económica preparados con distintos propósitos en los últimos veintitrés años. A través de ellos, se pasa revista a una parte apreciable de la historia económica del Perú. Guiaron al autor tres motivos principales. Primero, demostrar la aplicabilidad de la teoría económica para analizar casos concretos de la vida real. Segundo, demostrar que la teoría económica puede ser útil en el análisis de casos que aparentemente estarían fuera de su campo, como los sociales, psicológicos o políticos. Tercero, servir como referente para la toma de decisiones de política económica futura en el país.
