Del GATT a la OMC (1947-2005): la economía política internacional del sistema multilateral de comercio

Abstract

El presente texto pretende contribuir con el análisis de la evolución reciente del sistema multilateral de comercio utilizando una perspectiva histórica que toma en consideración la interacción de los intereses económicos y políticos de los distintos actores que participan en él. De la resolución exitosa de esta tensión inherente depende el mantenimiento de un sistema de comercio de carácter “multilateral” o su eventual descomposición en bloques en un futuro cercano, como la proliferación de acuerdos de liberalización bilateral y regional parece comenzar a sugerir.
