Abstract

Volumul Politica si metapolitica la Platon al autoarei Isadora Dunca, publicat la Editura Lumen, trateaza pe parcursul a trei capitole problemele fundamentale ale existentei omului in societate, analizate inca de catre sofisti, Platon sau Aristotel, care isi dovedesc inca actualitatea. Astfel capitolul I prezinta Statul ideal – concept fundamental in filosofia politica a lui Platon prin intermediul a cinci subcapitole ce au in vedere considera?ii preliminare, tipologia statelor, conducatorul in stat, precum si aspecte privind legile si educatia ca necesitati prioritare ale statului. Prin capitolul, Platon si critica sofistilor, cel de-al doilea capitol al volumului, autorul abordeaza retorica si politica morala in gandirea sofistilor, precum si critica lui Platon impotriva sofistilor. Capitolul al III-lea Platon si Aristotel – fondatori ai filosofiei politice este structurat in doua subcapitole care dezvolta politica la Aristotel si perspectiva lui Aristotel asupra doctrinei platoniciene a statului ideal. Problema politica, tema polis-ului, este prezenta peste tot in opera lui Platon si constituie substanta centrala a filosofiei platoniciene. Dialogul Republica, in care filosoful ofera un spatiu important analizei statului a fost interpretata in moduri foarte diferite. Pentru unii interpreti, ea descrie un mod de stat ideal, iar paralelele pe care le traseaza Platon intre stat si omul individual nu inseamna nimic mai mult decat o ilustrare a acestui stat ideal. In filosofia statului pe care o dezvolta, Platon cauta din principiu stabilitatea. Un stat drept, stabil, este numai acela caracterizat prin armonie. Teoria politica a lui Platon, prin coordonatele sale, suscita in acelasi timp la cititorul sau un exercitiu al simtului moral. Pentru Platon, fie ca este vorba de stat sau de persoana individuala, esenta va fi intotdeauna, educatia. Cetatenii statului ideal trebuie formati astfel incat sa fie capabili sa judece drept, sa poata discerne adevaratul bine; sa se poata calauzi dupa modelele (prototipuri) perfecte; sa poata raspunde unei exigente absolute, impusa nu de fapte, ci de Idei. Acesti cetateni vor refuza in orice imprejurare sa reduca actiunea politica la o abila folosire a tehnicilor de reusita, tocmai datorita prezentei statornice si vii a Ideilor in spiritul lor.
