Economía política de la reforma educacional en Chile: La reforma vista por sus protagonistas

Abstract

En este libro, el Banco ha querido recoger "de primera mano" los antecedentes sobre la experiencia de la reforma educativa chilena, entrevistando a los ministros que desempeñaron sus funciones en períodos claves. Cinco ex ministros de educación --Alfredo Prieto B., Jorge Arrate, Ernesto Schiefelbein, Sergio Molina y Ricardo Lagos-- dan a conocer su personal visión de los procesos de toma de decisiones, de concertación de intereses, de participación y de los acuerdos logrados sobre las metas para la educación en Chile y las estrategias para lograrlas. Finalmente, se reproduce un seminario que se realizó en la sede de la CEPAL en Santiago, en donde los ministros son nuevamente interrogados, esta vez sobre los aspectos más críticos y controvertidos de sus declaraciones anteriores.
