Abstract

El Acuerdo de Asociación entre la Unión Europea, los cinco países centroamericanos (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua) y Panamá es una iniciativa de gran impacto que puede llegar a convertirse en uno de los primeros y más exitosos ejemplos de integración birregional Norte-Sur. En este libro se describe la evolución de las relaciones de comercio e inversión entre las dos regiones, ofrece un panorama del complejo marco institucional y analiza retos de variada índole como el acceso a mercados, la fijación de normas técnicas y sanitarias o la aplicación de regulaciones de propiedad intelectual.
