Abstract

A partir de un enfoque esencialmente comparativo, Un gasto que valga: los fondos públicos en Centroamérica y República Dominicana ayuda a comprender la problemática del gasto público en la región, identificando las fortalezas y debilidades de cada país en temas como el nivel y la composición del gasto; la disciplina fiscal, la eficiencia asignativa y operativa; la sostenibilidad de la deuda pública; el impacto distributivo del gasto social y el fortalecimiento de los mecanismos de transparencia, entre otros.
