La industria láctea de México en el contexto del Tratado de Libre Comercio de América del Norte (TLCAN)

Abstract

El estudio analiza los efectos estáticos y dinámicos del Tratado de Libre Comercio de América del Norte (TLCAN) sobre la industria mexicana de productos lácteos, actividad que configura uno de los 28 complejos industriales identificados en la economía mexicana. Luego de ofrecer un breve marco teórico y metodológico que guía los análisis posteriores, se examinan las principales tendencias en la estructura de la producción y comercialización de lácteos a nivel mundial, incluyendo el examen de los agentes involucrados, las políticas nacionales y supranacionales en la actividad, y la naturaleza de los acuerdos internacionales en el marco de la Organización Mundial de Comercio (OMC). A su vez, se caracteriza también el sistema lácteo en América del Norte.
