Abstract

El Instituto Interamericano para el Desarrollo Social (INDES) del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), creó en 2002 el Programa Nacional en Honduras, con el fin de ampliar la masa crítica de autoridades y gerentes sociales y contribuir al fortalecimiento del proceso de desarrollo de ese país. El Programa Nacional fue financiado con el aporte de Gran Bretaña, a través del Departamento de Desarrollo Internacional (DFID), a Honduras, y recibió el apoyo logístico de la Secretaría del Despacho Presidencial del gobierno hondureño. En este contexto, el presente trabajo indaga sobre la efectividad en la cooperación en la profundización del desarrollo en América Latina, y particularmente Honduras. Los trabajos expuestos en este libro fueron presentados en el marco del panel titulado "Gobernabilidad, instituciones y efectividad en el desarrollo en la perspectiva de América Latina y Honduras" coordinado por el INDES. Adicionalmente este trabajo contiene algunos sugerentes comentarios hechos a estas presentaciones.
