Abstract

¿Por que editar otro libro sobre educación? Nunca, como hasta ahora, se ha logrado tanto consenso entre tantos actores diferentes en señalar a la educación como el factor aislado más importante para combatir a la pobreza y apuntalar el crecimiento económico. Nunca tantos, en el campo del desarrollo, se han puesto de acuerdo en tan poco tiempo para algo tan trascendental. Se reconoce a la educación como la bisagra que vincula las políticas económicas y las políticas sociales. Genera conocimiento y destrezas que permiten enfrentar el desafío de la competitividad por la vía del incremento de la productividad.
