Abstract

Se trata de una revisión y puesta al día de una obra publicada por la Fundación BBVA en el año 2000, que surge de la necesidad de llevar a cabo un análisis del sector no lucrativo (o tercer sector) en España, que canaliza la dinámica de la solidaridad voluntaria, más allá de una mera descripción cuantitativonarrativa, abordando su presencia social (tamaño y estructura), su dinámica interna de funcionamiento (gestión corporativa y financiera) y su significado institucional (relación con el Gobierno e impacto social).Estructurada en cinco bloques temáticos, en el primero de ellos se lleva cabo una revisión general de la estructura y el tamaño de todo el sector, y una descripción particularizada de las principales modalidades: organizaciones no lucrativas de acción social (ONLAS); organizaciones no gubernamentales de cooperación al desarrollo (ONGD); empresas de inserción (EI); y fundaciones. El segundo se adentra en el análisis de la gestión o gobernanza, relacionada con cuestiones debuen gobierno (participación, transparencia y calidad). El tercero aborda las relaciones con el sector público, su encuadre normativo e institucional. El cuarto investiga las diferencias entre las distintas organizaciones con respecto a financiación y presupuesto.
