Abstract

Este volumen contiene nuevas estimaciones del stock de capital y los servicios del capital para la economía española durante el periodo 1964-2002 y representa una importante novedad en la línea de investigación que sobre esta materia vienen desarrollando conjuntamente la Fundación BBVA y el Ivie desde hace una década. El trabajo ha sido desarrollado siguiendo las más recientes y elaboradas recomendaciones metodológicas de la OCDE, lo que permite analizar el proceso de acumulación no sólo desde la perspectiva sectorial, sino en cuanto a la composición de la inversión y del capital por tipos de activos (vivienda, otras construcciones, maquinaria, comunicaciones, hardware, software, entre otros). Esta base documental ampliada incorpora, junto a las series tradicionales de capital bruto y neto, las correspondientes a los servicios del capital, el denominado capital productivo. Con estos nuevos datos se abren ahora muchas posibilidades de análisis referidos a la contribución del capital al crecimiento económico y, en particular, al papel desempeñado en el mismo por los activos relacionados con las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones. Con esta nueva publicación, que contiene en un CD el banco de datos elaborado, se ofrecen a la sociedad y a los estudiosos materiales de trabajo y análisis para la mejora del conocimiento de los aspectos fundamentales de la trayectoria económica española Provider_Name: Fundacion BBVA / BBVA Foundation
