Chocolate con leche. Reportaje sobre la comunidad chocoana en Bogotá

Abstract

A Bogotá llegan diariamente inmigrantes de todas las regiones del país con la intención de encontrar mejores oportunidades de estudio y trabajo. Según el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (dane), entre 1998 y el 2003 la Capital recibió 494.509 personas provenientes de otros departamentos. Los chocoanos hacen parte de ese grupo de individuos que deciden abandonar su tierra para encontrar un mejor futuro en la Capital. Muchos llegan sin nada material, sólo con los recuerdos de sus pueblos y la ilusión de volver allá algún día. El cambio de vida para los inmigrantes no es fácil. Adaptarse a nuevos hábitos, otras culturas, diferentes costumbres, nueva gente, gustos y sentidos desconocidos es un reto que en algunas ocasiones no deja de ser doloroso para ellos.
