Abstract

China, desde su reforma y apertura en 1979, ha logrado posicionarse como uno de los mayores poderes económicos en el mundo; es socio estratégico comercial y de inversiones para muchos países. Sin embargo, el sustancial y rápido aumento de la participación china en las economías de América Latina se ha convertido en motivo tanto de esperanza como de preocupación. China en América Latina: Reflexiones sobre las relaciones transpacíficas reúne a destacados académicos de China, Estados Unidos, México, Argentina, España, Brasil y Colombia, para analizar las tendencias actuales de las relaciones entre China y América Latina. Desde diversas perspectivas –económica, política, legal, histórica y cultural– se ofrece un conocimiento especializado para un público interesado de habla hispana, así mismo, se pretende generar más interés para que se consolide el estudio de China –la sinología– en la academia latinoamericana.
