Responsabilidad civil en la era digital

Abstract

El Grupo de Investigación en Comercio Electrónico del Departamento de Derecho de los Negocios de la Universidad Externado de Colombia ha fomentado la discusión respecto de las tecnologías de la información a partir de 1999, con motivo de la expedición de la ley sobre comercio electrónico. El grupo de investigadores ha identificado dos líneas fundamentales de trabajo: la primera, relacionada con los contratos por medios electrónicos y la segunda, con la responsabilidad en la era digital. Esta obra presenta el resultado de esta segunda línea de investigación. Una vez identificada la relevancia de la temática y la injerencia en las actividades realizadas a través de medios electrónicos, la obra presenta, en primer lugar, los sujetos de la sociedad de la información como potenciales responsables por su actividad, para luego describir los riesgos propios del entorno digital, susceptibles de inferir daño; por último, esta primera parte de la obra relaciona a los sujetos y riesgos con los principios de responsabilidad civil.
