Abstract

El Departamento de Derecho Comercial, en colaboración con los Departamentos de Derecho Económico y Derecho Civil de la Universidad Externado de Colombia, conscientes de la importancia de la protección de los derechos de los consumidores presentan esta publicación a la comunidad académica con la finalidad de promover el estudio y conocimiento científico del Derecho del Consumo. El texto está compuesto por 16 artículos en los cuales se abordan los puntos cardinales de una relación de consumo, como la calidad, idoneidad y seguridad de los productos, la información y publicidad, los mecanismos de protección contractual, y algunos relacionados con la interacción de las normas de protección al consumidor con otras áreas del Derecho. Cada uno de los artículos presenta una posición crítica, integral y analítica de los temas tratados en las normas del Estatuto del Consumidor en Colombia, Ley 1480 de 2011.
