Abstract

La presente obra es el trabajo realizado por los autores con base en la experiencia obtenida durante varios años en el manejo del proceso de facturación, cartera y auditoría de cuentas médicas; en ella se trabaja una revisión amplia del tema con los parámetros estipulados para la implementación y operación de este proceso desde el advenimiento de la ley 100 de 1993, se hace un recorrido por la amplia normatividad que soporta dicho tema y se llega a plasmar los últimos y revolucionarios cambios por las normas que soportan hoy en día la facturación y las cuentas médicas.La importancia de la obra corresponde al apoyo operativo para el personal a cargo de estos procesos en las entidades de salud; se ofrece una guía práctica para la implementación, manejo y operación de estos procesos de vital importancia en el sector, brindando también una orientación clara y práctica de los referentes normativos del Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud, tan cambiantes día a día.
