Abstract

The History of Economics, the second volume of Takashi Negishi’s collected essays, contains essays on the history of economics published over a period of 10 years. The range of topics covered in this volume is very wide, with essays and papers on Quesnay, Smith and the classical school, the Marxian school, the marginal revolution, Böhm-Bawerk and Wicksell, and Walras and Marshall. Some of these essays have made seminal contributions and have been widely cited while others were published in journals and festschrifts which are no longer easily available.
