Abstract

Knjiga predstavlja analizu monetarno kreditnoga odnosa u ekonomiji. Temeljno polazište monografije jeste da su monetarna politika koju provodi centralna banka i kreditna politika koju provode banke neraskidivo povezane. Utjecaj monetarne politike na ekonomiju se posebno manifestira preko sektorske distribucije kredita. Promjene u kreditnoj masi u ekonomiji direktno utječu na količinu investicija i potrošnje, a indirektno na fiskalne prihode, platnu bilancu i dugoročnu stabilnost ekonomije. Posebna pažnja u monografiji se pridaje maloj otvorenoj ekonomiji sa slobodnim protokom kapitala. Centralna banka u maloj otvorenoj ekonomiji mora odabrati tečajnu politiku, a upravo je odabir tečajne politike ključan za daljnji razvoj strukture male otvorene ekonomije. Monografija je posebno prilagođena ekonomskoj strukturi Hrvatske i ulozi monetarne politike u Hrvatskoj. Autor detaljno analizira način na koji se provodi monetarna politika u hrvatskoj, kao i empirijskim pojavama kao što su kamatna stopa, nelikvidnost, stabilnost cijena. Zadnje poglavlje u knjizi predstavlja monetarni model Hrvatske.
