Abstract

"O artigo se desdobrará em três partes. A primeira abordará o debate suscitado pelo conjunto concatenado de mudanças em curso nas duas últimas décadas do século passado, que põe no centro da atenção de todos - analistas e atores políticos - a pergunta sobre a configuração do poder mundial. Destacada a condição de supremacia inconteste dos Estados Unidos nessa quadra histórica, a segunda parte estará voltada para breve análise das linhas mestras da conduta internacional da superpotência e dos processos de crise a elas relacionados. Reservamos para a terceira e última parte a discussão sobre os eventos referidos aqui e a indicação de alguns desenvolvimentos importantes do pós-2008, com as perspectivas que eles abrem."
