Encuestas de hogares en América Latina: un panorama de los principales problemas

Abstract

Examina la potencialidad de las encuestas de hogares y los recaudos que deben tomarse en su aplicacion, para la investigacion de las variables demograficas y de las migraciones internas. Especial atencion se asigna a la investigacion del empleo, considerando que este es el tema principal para cuya investigacion son utilizadas las encuestas de hogares en America Latina. La medicion de los niveles de vida es objeto de un capitulo especial. Aborda, ademas, los problemas relativos al diseno muestral y a la calidad de los datos.
