La encrucijada de la educación en América Latina y el Caribe. Informe regional de monitoreo ODS4-Educación 2030

Abstract

En 2015, la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas aprobó la Agenda 2030 de Desarrollo Sostenible. Esta agenda, a través del Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 4, definió la importancia de una visión inclusiva, equitativa y de calidad para la educación. Esta publicación realiza un balance de la implementación del ODS4-E2030 en América Latina y el Caribe en el ciclo 2015-2021, analizando logros e identificando los desafíos para el cumplimiento de las metas educativas en la región. El informe identifica las tendencias educativas del período, y destaca que, incluso antes de la pandemia de la COVID-19. el cumplimiento de las metas previstas para el 2030 no estaba asegurado, y mucho menos lo está en el presente tan difícil que atraviesa la región y el mundo. Concluye que, para lograr un avance significativo hacia el ODS4, es necesario encarar transformaciones profundas para modificar el rumbo de las políticas y de la asignación de recursos para la educación.
