Las juventudes latinoamericanas y caribeñas y la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible: una mirada desde el sistema de las Naciones Unidas

Abstract

En este documento se examina el estado de un grupo de metas de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) en lo que atañe a la población joven de América Latina y el Caribe, y se definen líneas para orientar la acción futura dirigida a promover un desarrollo resiliente, sostenible e inclusivo entre las juventudes de la región. Las orientaciones se brindan sobre la base de tres grandes ejes de desafíos y áreas de oportunidad relacionados con el desarrollo, a saber: i) la inclusión, ii) el cambio climático y la protección del medio ambiente y iii) la gobernabilidad. En ese marco se analizan los ODS en función de los factores que están obstaculizando o potenciando su cumplimiento entre las juventudes, y se ofrecen elementos propositivos para profundizar las acciones orientadas a acelerar el progreso hacia su consecución. El documento es fruto de la labor conjunta de entidades del sistema de las Naciones Unidas en el marco de la Plataforma de Colaboración Regional de las Naciones Unidas para América Latina y el Caribe.
