Abstract

Ce rapport répond à une demande formulée fin 2020 par la Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative (C2G) et la Commission économique pour l'Amérique latine et les Caraïbes (CEPALC) à la FondationTorcuato Di Tella. Le document fait la synthèse des meilleures connaissances sur les possibles conséquences de l'adoption d'options fondées sur la nature et d'options techniques pour l'élimination du dioxyde de carbone (EDC), visant à compléter les réductions directes d'émissions. Les conclusions se fondent sur l'évaluation de la littérature scientifique, technique et socio-économique disponible et des conséquences économiques, sociales et environnementales de la mise en oeuvre des options technologiques d'EDC.Les conséquences doivent être examinées à l'aune de la réalisation des objectifs de développement durable (ODD) et de la contribution à l'atténuation du changement climatique que la mise en oeuvre peut avoir en Argentine et en Colombie, et, de façon plus génerale, en Amérique latine et les Caraïbes.
