O Investimento Estrangeiro Direto na América Latina e no Caribe 2019. Resumo executivo

Abstract

Esta publicação apresenta e analisa as principais tendências do investimento estrangeiro direto (IED) nos países da América Latina e do Caribe. Na região, pela primeira vez em cinco anos as entradas de IED foram superiores às do ano anterior (13,2%) e alcançaram um montante de 184,287 bilhões de dólares. Esta evolução, porém, obedece a maiores fluxos que se concentram em poucos países, principalmente Brasil e México. Além disso, não está associada a aportes de capital, mas a maiores entradas por empréstimos entre companhias e, em menor medida, reinvestimento de lucros. As manufaturas e os serviços foram os setores que receberam mais capitais, embora em relação a 2018 se observe um leve aumento das entradas de investimento para os setores de recursos naturais.
