Abstract

Das hier untersuchte Papier-, Druck- und Verlagsgewerbe hatte in Sachsen ebenso wie in Westdeutschland einen Umsatzanteil am verarbeitenden Gewerbe von 6%. Die Branchen stehen aus unterschiedlichen Gründen unter einem starken Anpassungsdruck. Insofern sind viele der im Rahmen dieser Studie ermittelten Schwachpunkte nicht standortspezifisch für sächsische Unternehmen, sondern gelten für ganz Deutschland und teilweise auch für Westeuropa. Gemeinsam ist allen untersuchten Bereichen, daß der Wille zur Kooperation bei der Bewältigung anstehender Probleme sowie die Bereitschaft zur Nutzung von Informations- und Weiterbildungsangeboten bei den sächsischen Unternehmen kaum vorhanden sind.
