Handwerker im Gründungsfieber

Abstract

Die Zahl der Unternehmensgründungen in Deutschland ist im Jahr 2004 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um zehn Prozent gestiegen. Besonders hoch war der Anstieg im Baugewerbe, und das trotz - oder vielleicht auch wegen? - der dortigen wirtschaftlichen Probleme. Die wohl wichtigste Ursache für diese Entwicklung sind arbeitsmarktpolitische Maßnahmen, die Arbeitslosen den Schritt in die Selbstständigkeit erleichtern sollen (v. a. "Ich-AG"). Zudem zeigen sich im Baugewerbe erste Auswirkungen der im Januar 2004 in Kraft getretenen Novelle der Handwerksordnung, da durch sie in vielen Bereichen der Meisterbrief als Voraussetzung für die Gründung eines Handwerkunternehmensweggefallen ist.
