Aspekte des Luftverkehrs an deutschen Flughäfen seit 2019

Abstract

Die amtliche Verkehrsleistungsstatistik im Luftverkehr liefert monatlich aktuelle Daten zur Entwicklung des Luftverkehrs auf deutschen Flughäfen. Der Artikel nimmt die Entwicklung des Luftverkehrs seit 2019 in den Blick, der durch die Auswirkungen der weltweiten Corona-Pandemie schwer getroffen wurde. Nach einem starken Einbruch im Jahr 2020 setzte in den Folgejahren 2021 und 2022 eine Erholung ein, insbesondere beim Flugverkehr mit dem Ausland. Der im Fokus der Klimadebatte stehende innerdeutsche Luftverkehr entwickelte sich dagegen deutlich schwächer. Der Beitrag untersucht unter anderem die Bedeutung von Umsteigern für den innerdeutschen Flugverkehr und nimmt einen Vergleich mit der Entwicklung des Luftverkehrs in ausgewählten EU-Mitgliedstaaten vor.
