Neuerungen im statistischen Unternehmensregister: Auswertungskonzept, Relevanzschwellen und weitere Quellen

Abstract

Das statistische Unternehmensregister liefert politischen, wirtschaftlichen und wissenschaftlichen Akteuren mit seinen Strukturauswertungen zur deutschen Gesamtwirtschaft und zu einzelnen Branchen wichtige Entscheidungsgrundlagen. In den letzten Jahren erfolgten zahlreiche methodische Neuerungen, die das Unternehmensregister in seiner Rolle als Auswertungsinstrument gestärkt haben. So wurden im Oktober 2020 für das Berichtsjahr 2018 erstmals Daten zu Unternehmen gemäß der EU-Unternehmensdefinition aus dem Unternehmensregister veröffentlicht. Der Beitrag erläutert die methodischen Hintergründe der Neuerungen, geht auf die Thematik der Solo-Selbstständigen ein und stellt den perspektivischen Ausbau der Quellenlage des Unternehmensregisters vor.
