Der Peer Review 2021 bis 2023 im Europäischen Statistischen System: Qualitätssicherung zwischen Selbstverpflichtung und (gegenseitiger) Kontrolle

Abstract

In den Jahren 2021 bis 2023 findet zum dritten Mal ein sogenannter Peer Review im Europäischen Statistischen System (ESS) statt. In diesem Verfahren wird die Umsetzung des Verhaltenskodex für europäische Statistiken in den nationalen statistischen Ämtern überprüft. Der Beitrag erläutert die Ziele dieses Instruments der Qualitätssicherung und informiert über den vorgesehenen Ablauf speziell auch in Deutschland. Wichtigstes Ergebnis des Peer Review wird ein offizieller Bericht mit Empfehlungen an die deutsche amtliche Statistik sein, die in Form konkreter Verbesserungsmaßnahmen aufgegriffen werden. Der Peer Review ist für die Weiterentwicklung und die Umsetzung von Innovationen im ESS von herausragender Bedeutung.
