Nutzung von Arzneimittelverordnungsdaten der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung für die Krankheitskostenrechnung

Abstract

Die Krankheitskostenrechnung des Statistischen Bundesamtes basiert auf Eckdaten der jährlichen Gesundheitsausgabenrechnung und ermittelt mithilfe verschiedener Datenquellen die Kosten ausgewählter Krankheiten. Dabei stellt die Zuordnung der Arzneimittelkosten zu einer konkreten Krankheitsgruppe eine besondere Herausforderung dar: Viele verordnete Arzneimittel sind in verschiedenen Anwendungsgebieten zugelassen und auf den Arzneimittelverordnungen ist die verordnungsauslösende Diagnose nicht dokumentiert. Der Beitrag beschreibt das System der Krankheitskostenrechnung und erläutert ein vom Wissenschaftlichen Institut der AOK (WIdO) neu entwickeltes Zuordnungsverfahren der Arzneimittelkosten zu verschiedenen Krankheiten. Er stellt die Ergebnisse für das Berichtsjahr 2018 dar und diskutiert Einschränkungen, die sich durch die Nutzung des Zuordnungsverfahrens ergeben können.
