Aktuelle Entwicklungen in der Unternehmensdemografie

Abstract

Die Unternehmensdemografie betrachtet das Gründungs- und Schließungsgeschehen von Unternehmen sowie deren Bestand am Markt. Ab dem Berichtsjahr 2018 nutzt die amtliche Statistik aufgrund europäischer Vorgaben eine andere Definition der Einheit Unternehmen: Wurden bislang Rechtliche Einheiten als Unternehmen betrachtet, ist jetzt das Unternehmen nach EU-Unternehmensdefinition Grundlage der Unternehmensdemografie. Der Aufsatz erläutert die damit verbundenen Anpassungen und gibt einen Ausblick auf weitere Neuerungen, die es ab dem Berichtsjahr 2021 wegen neuer gesetzlicher Rahmenbedingungen geben wird.
