Qualitätssicherung in der amtlichen Statistik: Large Cases Unit

Abstract

Globale Wertschöpfungsketten und ansteigende grenzüberschreitende Geschäftsaktivitäten von multinationalen Unternehmensgruppen stellen die amtliche Statistik zunehmend vor Herausforderungen. Allein aufgrund der wirtschaftlichen Bedeutung großer Konzerne kann ihre verzerrte statistische Erfassung zu Qualitätsrisiken bei wichtigen volkswirtschaftlichen Kenngrößen führen. Viele europäische Länder haben bereits erkannt, dass die Beobachtung und Analyse dieser Unternehmensgruppen für die Qualitätssicherung wichtiger Wirtschaftsindikatoren dringend erforderlich ist. Dazu haben sie sogenannte Large Cases Units in ihren nationalen statistischen Ämtern eingerichtet. Eine solche spezialisierte Organisationseinheit wird derzeit auch in der deutschen amtlichen Statistik aufgebaut. Der Beitrag erläutert die damit verfolgten Ziele und Pläne zur Umsetzung.
