Abstract

Dieser Artikel gibt einen frühen Überblick über die wichtigsten Entwicklungen in der deutschen Wirtschaft im Jahr 2020 unter dem Eindruck der Corona-Pandemie. Das Bruttoinlandsprodukt ist im Jahr 2020 nach ersten vorläufigen Ergebnissen um 5,0 % zurückgegangen. Die deutsche Wirtschaft ist somit nach einer zehnjährigen Wachstumsphase in eine tiefe Rezession geraten, ähnlich wie zuletzt während derFinanz- und Wirtschaftskrise 2008/2009. Dabei war die Entwicklung in den einzelnen Quartalen sehr unterschiedlich; sie stand jeweils in engem Zusammenhang mit den Maßnahmen, die zur Eindämmung der Pandemie ergriffen wurden
