Personenbeförderung und Unfälle auf Binnenwasserstraßen

Abstract

Auf europäischer Ebene gibt es einen Informationsbedarf über den Personenverkehr sowie über Schiffsunfälle auf Binnenwasserstraßen, zu dem derzeit keine Daten der deutschen amtlichen Statistik vorliegen. Wie und mit welchem Aufwand solche Informationen gewonnen werden können, hat das Statistische Bundesamt in einer von der Europäischen Kommission finanziell geförderten Pilotstudie untersucht. Der Beitrag beschreibt Methodik und Durchführung dieser Pilotstudie; ihre Ergebnisse fließen in einen Bericht der Europäischen Kommission zu einer möglichen Anpassung der EU-Verordnung über die Statistik des Güterverkehrs auf Binnenwasserstraßen ein.
