Entwicklung der Säuglingssterblichkeit und ihre Einflussgrößen: Ergebnis einer Sonderauszählung für das Jahr 1973

Abstract

Der vorliegende historische Artikel aus dem Jahr 1978 ergänzt einen aktuellen Beitrag zur Säuglingssterblichkeit in Deutschland nach der deutschen Vereinigung, der ebenfalls in Heft 2/2020 publiziert ist. Der Aufsatz beschreibt Methode und Ergebnisse einer Sonderauszählung zur Säuglingssterblichkeit für das Jahr 1973. Deren Anlass war, dass die Säuglingssterblichkeit im früheren Bundesgebiet zwar langfristig gesunken, Ende der 1960er-Jahre jedoch wieder leicht angestiegen war.
