Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf die Energieversorgung in deutschen Gemeinden

Abstract

Der Klimawandel wird voraussichtlich voranschreiten und von den Folgen wird möglicherweise eine Vielzahl an Leistungen der öffentlichen Daseinsvorsorge betroffen sein. Hierzu gehört auch die Energieversorgung. Eine Befragung von deutschen Gemeinden zeigt, dass die negativen Auswirkungen für die lokale Energieversorgung infolge von Klimaveränderungen im Hintergrund stehen. Vielmehr geht ein Großteil der Kommunen davon aus, indirekt vom Klimawandel zu profitieren, zum Beispiel wird der Ausbau erneuerbarer Energien klimapolitisch weiter vorangetrieben. Das birgt die Gefahr einer vernachlässigten Anpassungspolitik im Energiebereich. Zudem kann eine räumlich unkoordinierte und zunehmend durch staatliche Akteure geprägte Energieversorgungsstruktur entstehen.
