Der Intrafirmenhandel deutscher US-Tochterunternehmen

Abstract

Der Intrafirmenhandel deutscher US-Tochterunternehmen macht rund die Hälfte der gesamten US-Importe aus Deutschland aus. Dabei besteht das Gros des US-Intrafirmenimports aus Straßenfahrzeugen und entsprechenden Teilen. Der Handel der deutschen US-Töchter mit Deutschland war im Jahr 2002 wie auch im Jahr 1992 ganz überwiegend firmenintern, der Handel mit anderen Ländern dagegen überwiegend konzernextern. Der firmeninterne US-Export deutscher US-Tochterfirmen wurde immer stärker auf verbundene Unternehmen in den großen Ländern der Europäischen Union konzentriert, im firmenexternen Handel dagegen sehr stark auf Kanada und Mexiko umstrukturiert. Die USA werden nach wie vor von deutschen Unternehmen in erster Linie als Absatzmarkt genutzt. Ihre Bedeutung als Produktionsstandort zum nachfolgenden Export im Rahmen eines internationalen Vorleistungsnetzwerks hat allerdings zugenommen.
