Zur Stabilität ungarischer Banken

Abstract

Die Beteiligung ausländischen Kapitals und besonders ausländischer Banken an der Privatisierung ungarischer Banken war eine entscheidende Voraussetzung für die Stabilisierrung und die Erreichung der Wettbwewerbsfähigkeit. Der Transformationsprozess ist mit der Privatisierung des größten Teils der Banken noch nicht abgeschlossen. Vielen Banken gelang es nocht nicht, verringerte Einnahmen und erhöhte Kosten durch eine größere Vielfalt von Transaktionen und eine Ausweitung außerbilanzieller Geschäfte zu kompensieren. Eine Analyse verschiedner Indikatoren des Bankensystems ergab keine Anzeichen für eine Krise. Ein Vergleich wichtiger Kenndaten der Bankensysteme Ungarns, Polens und der Tschechischen Republik lässt die des ungarischen Bankensystems insgesamt besser erscheinen.
