Trinkwasserversorgung in Deutschland: wirksamer Grundwasserschutz notwendig

Abstract

Im internationalen Vergleich sind für die absehbare Zukunft kaum Mengenrestriktionen für die Trinkwasserversorgung in Deutschland gegeben, zumal der Wasserverbrauch durch Wassersparen und veränderteres Konsumverhalten seit Jahren abnimmt. Gleich-wohl hat sich die Qualität des Grundwassers, das hauptsächlich für die Trinkwasserpro-duktion genutzt wird, spürbar verschlechtert. Im Hinblick auf die Vermeidung zusätzli-cher Kosten für die Aufbereitung verschmutzten Grundwassers ist vor allem ein wirk-samer Grundwasserschutz in der Landwirtschaft erforderlich.
