IWH-Frühwarnindikatoren für Finanzkrisen in Mittel- und Osteuropa: Weitere Entspannung – Problemfall Ungarn

Abstract

Die aktuelle Analyse der Frühwarnindikatoren für Finanzkrisen des IWH signalisiert eine Fortsetzung der bisherigen Entspannung in den Ländern Mittel- und Osteuropas. Als Ausnahme von dieser Entwicklung gilt immer noch Ungarn, wo entgegenwirkende wirtschaftspolitische Maßnahmen nicht mehr hinausgeschoben werden dürfen. Hierzu zählen nicht nur fiskalische Maßnahmen zur Einschränkung der inländischen Nachfrage, sondern auch die Etablierung einer wirksamen Geldpolitik. Ein positives Beispiel ist Polen, wo das Gefahrenpotenzial einer Finanzkrise durch externe Faktoren, aber auch durch geldpolitische Maßnahmen erheblich gesenkt wurde. Doch eine fiskalische Restriktion muss auch hier noch erfolgen.
