Abstract

Die Geschäftslage im ostdeutschen Baugewerbe hat sich laut IWH-Umfrage unter mehr als 300 Unternehmen im Februar 1999 sowohl gegenüber dem Jahresende 1998 als auch dem Vorjahresniveau auf breiter Front verschlechtert. Mit zwei Dritteln pessimistischer Urteile reichte das Ergebnis an den extrem schlechten Befund beim Wintereinbruch vor drei Jahren. Dies war zu einem Teil auf den etwas strengeren Winter zurückzuführen sein, zugleich war es aber auch die Reaktion der Bauunternehmen auf die sich weiter “normalisierende“ Baunachfrage.
