Wirkungslos und virtuell? Das Schulfach Wirtschaft in Baden-Württemberg und Nordrhein-Westfalen

Abstract

Die Befürworter*innen eines separaten Schulfachs Wirtschaft verweisen oft auf Deutschland. Das ist irreführend, denn dort ist das sozialwissenschaftliche Integrationsfach der Regelfall, das Separatfach Wirtschaft die Ausnahme. Das Integrationsfach umfasst meist die Domänen Politik, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft sowie Recht. Vor allem Baden-Württemberg und Nordrhein-Westfalen gelten als Musterbeispiele für das Fach Wirtschaft. Wie ist dort die Lage? Beide Länder eignen sich nicht als Vorbild. In Baden-Württemberg bleibt das Schulfach Wirtschaft weitgehend wirkungslos, in Nordrhein-Westfalen eine bildungspolitische Fiktion.
