Mythos Bildungsungleichheit? Eine Diskussion der Thesen von Rainer Bölling

Abstract

Dass der Bildungserfolg in Deutschland besonders stark von der sozialen Herkunft abhängt, ist für Rainer Bölling ein bildungspolitisches Vorurteil. Bewertungsmaßstäbe und Befunde, die diesen Schluss nahelegen, sind aus seiner Sicht wenig aussagekräftig. Der vorliegende Beitrag setzt sich mit Böllings zentralen Kritikpunkten auseinander. In einigen Punkten trifft seine Argumentation ins Schwarze, an anderen Stellen aber ist sie angreifbar und lässt mitunter relevante bildungspolitische Fragen außer Acht.
