Das WIFO-Radar der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der österreichischen Wirtschaft 2021

Abstract

Das WIFO-Radar der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit erfasst die Leistungsfähigkeit des Standortes Österreich unter Berücksichtigung wirtschaftlicher, sozialer und ökologischer Zielgrößen. Im Durchschnitt über 24 Indikatoren konnte Österreich seine relative Position gegenüber dem Vorjahr etwas verbessern und lag zuletzt unmittelbar hinter dem oberen Drittel der europäischen Vergleichsländer. Hohe Prozentränge erzielt Österreich in Bezug auf die Pro-Kopf-Einkommen, die regionale Verteilung und den Außenhandel. In den Dimensionen "soziale Lebensverhältnisse" und "Einsatz natürlicher Ressourcen" liegt Österreich dagegen nur im europäischen Mittelfeld.
